How Context Transforms Your Work and Your World
Where we are, who we’re with and what’s going on around us all transform what we think, how we act and who we really are. One of the strongest influences on human nature is one we typically overlook: context. Understanding this makes us better at building businesses, relationships and communities. This session will explore the situational forces relevant to work in HR and demonstrate how appreciating the power of situations makes us better leaders.

Additionally, this session will:
  • Show how behavioral science perspectives and findings can broaden the ways in which we think about human nature.

Setting the Foundation for Employee Engagement
Traditional approaches to wellness — “Wellness 1.0” — no longer hit the mark. Cookie cutter strategies focusing on things like employees’ blood pressure, whether they’ve completed a health risk assessment or if they belong to a gym do little to change behavior, meaning low usage and engagement.

Smith & Nephew has left Wellness 1.0 in the dust by supporting its employees' total quality of life — including physical, emotional, social and financial well-being — helping to mold a healthy, productive, highly engaged workforce.
